Q: What is the battery life of the QP Pro?
A:
For optimal performance, it's recommended to keep the monitor connected to the power supply. However, when on battery power alone, the QP Pro provides approximately 4 hours of monitoring. It automatically shuts down when the remaining power reaches 5%.

Q: Can the QP Pro detect formaldehyde? Is tVOC equal to formaldehyde?
A:
Formaldehyde is only one of thousands of compounds in the total volatile organic compounds or tVOC that is monitored by the QP Pro. It's important to note that the tVOC reading isn't solely indicative of formaldehyde levels. tVOC readings may increase significantly when there's increased occupancy or during activities like cooking, cleaning, or when substances containing alcohol are nearby. Sources of tVOC include
combustion products like coal or natural gas, tobacco, as well as materials used in construction, home decor, furniture, and household appliances. To mitigate tVOC levels, consider utilizing ventilation or air purification methods.

Q: Is an internet connection required to use the monitor?
A:
No, the air monitoring function operates effectively even without an internet connection. However, without internet access, features such as displaying the time, city weather conditions, or remotely viewing air quality and receiving alerts on your phone will be unavailable.

Why Measuring PM2.5, tVOC, and CO2 Is So Important

PPM2.5: One of the biggest killers in the world, with 99% of population breathing dangerous levels. Even moderate levels are shown to cause cancer and heart disease.

tVOC: Dangerous gases can irritate our organs and cause cancer

CO2: High CO2 levels can result in drowsiness, headaches, high blood pressure, and more.

*If levels are high, a combination of HEPA air purifiers and improved ventilation can help lower levels.air large text with an image to give focus to your chosen product, collection or blog post. Add details on availability, style or even provide a review.

Everything is great except...um, they aren't accurate.

You should buy 2 of these and run them side by side. If you are like me, you won't get the same TVOC or RH readings from your 2 units. Both units give me the same Temperature and PM 2.5, but any cheap device can measure those things. The CO2 readings are close enough. But the RH and TVOC are not. RH readings on one unit are off by 10% (as confirmed by 3 independent hygrometers), and the TVOC readings on one unit are 3 to 10 times higher than on the other (which is the difference between GOOD and DANGEROUS). Which unit is right? Maybe if I bought a 3rd one I could hazard a guess. In short, these devices are probably fine for determining whether TVOC is changing up or down over time, or whether it is higher in one room than another, but they are not well-calibrated and you can't take the actual numbers they produce seriously.

Great for monitoring room air

This is the only similarly-priced monitor I could find that measures both PM2.5 and tVOC. It's great for a stationary monitor, but having found it when searching for a portable monitor I'm disappointed that it's not suitable to carry around. That it has a battery to run unplugged is still nice, but not something I expect to use much. The only other problem so far is that I had to connect to WiFi and get a firmware update before I could set the date - I wanted to use it around people who don't want WiFi devices near them

Very Happy...

Bought one of these and liked it so much that I ordered two more for other rooms of my house. Everyone with a more modern built home should have at least one of these. Our house was built in 2012 and because of this monitor I now know that I need a fresh air intake for my HVAC system. Our CO2 levels were almost 4000 when I first used this monitor. I can immediately tell the difference when I open up the windows. This monitor was a great purchase and well worth the price

Very Useful

I like QP Pro Air Qualify Monitor, the main display is bright and clear so I can see it from the distance. During this cold weather I choose to display humidity level as the main one so I can tell when I should turn on my humidifier. When I have guests I choose to display CO2 level as the main one so I know when I should switch my air purifier to high speed.
